Southlake Texas Teen Intensive Outpatient Program
Southlake Teen & Child IOP+ Program
When a child is unable to cope with day-to-day life due to difficulties related to mental illness or substance use, seeing a therapist once a week may not be enough. The Charis Intensive Outpatient Program+ allows your child to address their struggles with the support of a team that includes therapists, psychologists and nurses with oversight by a Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. Our IOP+ day program is a safe, structured environment that creates multiple avenues for a child to heal and develop tools to face life’s challenges.
Programs for Troubled Teens in Southlake TX
This program includes a minimum of 3 hours of therapy daily, once weekly visits with a psychiatrist, weekly individual therapy, and the opportunity to complete school work during program hours supervised by a certified teacher. While group therapy is the primary framework, each child also receives weekly individual counseling and family therapy. Because the program is Monday through Friday, our team is able to work to address issues in real time. Oftentimes IOP+ is a step down level of care for individuals completing the PHP+ program, however, a child can admit to this level of care as well.
Our complimentary Assessment+ will provide you with a recommendation for the appropriate level of care for your child.

The Charis+ Difference
At Charis, we do IOP treatment differently. Plus (+) means more, expanded and increased… so our IOP+ includes more assessment, programming and therapy features than the industry standard. Therefore, there are more opportunities for hope, healing and lasting change.
Our complimentary biopsychosocial assessment includes brain mapping, which identifies irregularities in brain waves that may contribute to presenting symptoms.
Psychological testing, blood work and a sleep evaluation allow our clinicians to create a comprehensive treatment plan that provides the best roadmap to healing.
In conjunction with therapy services, responsible medication management is essential to effective treatment since the mind and the body of a child is still developing.
Since our brains control all things mental, emotional, and physical in the body, we believe training the brain in resilience via neurotherapy is critical to the healing process.
Charis offers a variety of experiential methods of self-expression and a program that specifically supports the entire family through the healing journey.
We partner with local school districts to create an education plan that allows for a focus on mental health without disregarding the importance of education.
